Bonnie Daniels is a shy, withdrawn young spiritual witch. She is the daughter of two unnamed parents, best friend of Nancy Downs, Sarah Bailey and Rochelle Gordon and a former member of a circle the four once were apart of.
During her childhood, she was involved in a fire accident which left burn scars all over her back.
Sometime either before or in 1996, Bonnie began to dabble in magical practices with Nancy Downs and Rochelle Gordon. Although the three girls practiced, they needed a fourth member of the coven to be complete. Bonnie was the intuitive one and the most eager to get a fourth member.
After the arrival of Sarah Bailey, Bonnie witnessed Sarah using magic in class. Immediately, Bonnie reported to Nancy that she was their fourth member.
Once the circle was complete, their powers began to grow stronger and stronger everyday. While each casting individual spells, Bonnie cast a spell to be beautiful: outside as well as in. The spell was successful. The burn scars on her back that made her so withdrawn spontaneously dissappeared. Bonnie began to style her hair and dress in more stylish clothes. Along with the appearance change, Bonnie's attitude changed as well. She began to be more confidnet and outgoing as well as concieded, arrogant and narcissistic.
Early life
Not much is known about Bonnie's early life other than she was born in 1980 and was involved in a horrible fire accident when she was very little, thus, leaving greusome burn scars all over her back and shoulders. The scars made her withdrawn and timid, causing her to resort to witchcraft.
Biography
Bonnie was born on the 16th of August in 1980 to Mrs. Daniels and and unnamed father. {C
Bonnie was severely scarred in a fire and this makes her extermley introverted girl and Bonnie uses Mano as a way to belong and be protected. She is truly beautiful on the inside and seemingly has a quality that makes others want to protect her, however
when she gets her whish of being beautiful on the outside as well as in, she becomes extermely narcissistic. it is belived that her element was fire and her 'animal' fittingly was a butterfly, anther interesting note is that aside form her school uniform Bonnie was usually in black or darker hues.
Bonnie didn't fit in in high school and was good friends with two other girls, Nancy and Rochelle. The three were in a coven and dabbled in magic. The circle was unsuccessful in power because it wasincomplete. To be complete and have full power, they needed a fourth person. Bonnie, being the intuitive one, knew about the arrival of the fourth girl that would complete the circle. In French class, Bonnie spotted new girl Sarah using magic and reported to Nancy who refused to believe that a fourth was needed. Afterwards, Nancy gave Sarah a chance and the circle was complete. Bonnie was the nicest, most likely because both of the two felt like outsiders. After casting a spell to be beautiful, she did. The spell however was selfish, causing it to backfire. She became more arrogant and concieded everyday.
Fire accident
When Bonnie was a child, she was in a horrible fire that left her with scars all over her back and shoulders. The scars are the main contribution to Bonnie's withdrawness. Somehow, everyone at school seemed to know about the scars. Chris Hooker stated that friends of his have actually seen the scars. After the completion of the circle, Bonnie cast a spell to be beautiful outside as well as inside. The spell was successful, causing the scars to spontaneously dissappear. This stumped the gene therapists and her mom.
In a deleted scene, Sarah performed a healing spell on Bonnie. Bonnie felt that Sarah was powerful enough to heal her back completely and that the doctors had no idea what they were doing.
Because of Bonnie's misuse of magic, Sarah used a spell to make Bonnie believe that she had burn scars all over her face, even though she didn't. This frightened Bonnie out of Sarah's house.
Powers and abilities
Bonnie is an "un-natural" witch, meaning she performs magic using external forces. Although Bonnie can perform spells, rites and glamours, her magicial abilities are merely a result of her leeching form Sarah's power. Even if Bonnie's magic isn't true, she is capable of performing and projecting incredible magical characteristics. After Sarah's realization that the girls had used their powers for bad, she bound them, leaving her powerless.
- Levitation : Bonnie is able to suspend herself above the ground.
- Spell casting: Bonnie is able to cast any kind of spells she desires.
- Glamouring : Bonnie is able to cast illusions so real that it is to cause others to believe that it is real.
- Telekinesis : Bonnie is able to move objects with her mind.
- Dream manipulation: Bonnie was able to manipulate and invade Sarah's dreams to scare her.
- Weather Manipulation: The ability to manipulate weather patterns with the mind.
- Power channeling: Bonnie is able to channel the magical powers of others. It was implied in early stages of the film that Bonnie's (along with Nancy and Rochelle's) magical abilities were merely just a result of her leeching from Sarah's magic.
Losing her powers
When Sarah discovered her true ability, she stripped Nancy, Bonnie and Rochelle of their powers for misusing them. In this case, Bonnie's "beauty spell" made her arogant, mean and narcissistic. Although Bonnie's powers were stripped form her, she still chants and calls the corners with Rochelle and Sarah. It's unknown how Bonnie's powers were actually stripped. It's presummed that Sarah used a spell to do it, just like she did with Nancy.
Channeling Sarah's powers
It was stated in early edits of the film and in parts of the script that Bonnie's magical abilities was merely a result of her leeching form Sarah's power.
Relationships
Mother
Bonnie didn't seem to be very close with her mother, but that may have been because of her shyness. After Bonnie's genotherapy "worked", she seemed to be closer with her mother and everyone else.
Sarah Bailey
Bonnie was perhaps the closest to Sarah as she is the first to accept her in the circle. When Bonnie was in the hospital, Sarah visited her and attempted a healing spell, showing that she cared very much for Bonnie.
Mitt
When Bonnie arrived at school with her "new look", Mitt seemed to show an interest in Bonnie, but then again, so did every other guy in the classroom.
Appearance and personality
Bonnie has long, wavy hair which was used to conceal her face most of the time. After casting a confidence spell, she began to dress it more.Bonnie is very shy and withdrawn becuase of her feeling on not fitting in with everyone else. When Bonnie was younger, she developed multiple burn scars all over her back and shoulders. Becuase of this accident, she closed up. She rarely ever spoke and often had her hair hiding her face. After casting a spell, she became more outgoing, confident and in no way withdrawn. She also became arrogant and narcassistic as a result of the spell. She dressed more confidently and began to behave rudly.
Significant Spells
Bonnie, feeling the polar opposite of beautiful, casts a spell to bring beauty about herself, inside and out. Bonnie's spell was selfish, causing it to backfire. Bonnie became more arrogant and narcissistic every day. Only caring about her self and her looks. Although she felt more confident about herself, it lead to her almost killing Sarah which was not what she wanted at all.
When the girls realize that they have a great power between them, they decide to invoke Manol. Bonnie called the southern corner by the powers of fire and feeling.
The Craft 2
A sequel for The Craft went into production, however, it was terminated. It is unknown if it would inolve the same characters as it did in the original like Bonnie.
