Mr. Bailey is a minor character in the 1996 film The Craft. He is Sarah Bailey's father. His first wife (who died during childbirth) was a witch and passed down magic to Sarah. He is currently married to a woman named Jenny. Mr. Bailey is portrayed by Cliff De Young.

Mr. Bailey at some point married Sarah's mother, who, apparently unbeknownst to him, was a natural witch. His wife fell pregnant, but sadly, she died giving birth to their daughter Sarah, leaving Mr. Bailey to raise alone. At some point, Mr. Bailey found love again with a woman named Jenny, who became his second wife. Sarah became quite depressed during her teens and attempted suicide by slashing her wrists; fortunately, Mr. Bailey found his daughter unconscious on the bathroom floor and was able to call an ambulance in time, saving her life. Some time later, Mr. Bailey decided to move his family from San Francisco to Los Angeles for a fresh start.
The Craft[]
Mr. Bailey first appears shortly after he and his family have moved into their new home. He scares off a homeless man when he enters the house and frightens Sarah. Mr. Bailey drops Sarah off at her new school, wishing her luck. After Chris Hooker is killed, Mr. Bailey attempts to comfort his distraught daughter, but Sarah orders him to leave her alone when he tries to hug her, saying "Everything I touch turns to shit." Mr. Bailey is clearly upset by his daughter's distress, but appears to be at a loss as to what he should do. Later, during the film's climax. Sarah arrives home looking for her parents, only to find the house empty. Nancy Downs calls and tells Sarah Mr. Bailey and Jenny left to look for Sarah, fearing she'd run away back to San Francisco. Sarah then sees a TV report stating that the plane to San Francisco crashed, with no survivors, leading her to believe her father and stepmother were killed. However, it's later revealed this was just a glamour and that Mr. Bailey and Jenny are fine. At the end of the film, Mr. Bailey is shown outside his new house with Sarah. He greets Bonnie and Rochelle pleasantly enough, Sarah having presumably not told him of what her former friends have been up to.
