"Glamour: an illusion so real it is to fool an onlooker."
Rochelle

A glamour is a form of magic that allows the witch to create an illusion, concealing the true form of something.

While it initially requires a spell to perform a glamour, Nancy Downs glamoured her appearance to resemble Sarah without the use of any spell.

Spells, Rituals and Incantations[]

  • "This is to feel, this is to be... shape and form it, for all to see. By the power of three times three, as I will it, so shall it be!"

In the Film[]

The glamour was first used in the The Craft by Sarah when she was having a sleepover with Bonnie, Rochelle, and Nancy. Sarah was able to turn her eyes from green to brown but the girls wanted to see something "bigger". Sarah then turned her hair from brown to platinum blonde.

A glamour was used a second time in the film by Nancy when she goes to Trey's party to get payback on Chris Hooker from attempting to rape Sarah. Nancy then attempts to have sex with Chris but he rejects her so she turns herself into Sarah by using a glamour and has sex with Chris. The glamour soon wears off and he realizes that they are real witches.

A glamour is used the last time after Sarah uses the invocation of the spirit ritual and becomes powerful summoning it from Manon. Sarah then uses a glamour on Rochelle and Bonnie making Rochelle be bald as she did to Laura Lizzie and making Bonnie burnt like she used to be. It showed them staring in the mirror only for it to be an illusion.
