Lilith "Lily" Schechner (Born: Lilith "Lily" Downs) is a witch and the main protagonist in The Craft: Legacy. She is the fourth member of her coven with Lourdes, Frankie and Tabby and is represented by the element water. Lily is the adoptive daughter of Helen Schechner and her biological mother, who is later revealed in the movie to be Nancy Downs.
Lily is portrayed by Cailee Spaeny.
Biography
Background
Lily was born to a powerful witch Nancy Downs during her confinement in a Mental Hospital. During the film, it was later implied during the Craft Legacy, that Nancy was sexually assaulted during her confinement, which leaves her traumatized to the point that she learns that her assault was resulted in her becoming pregnant and later after giving birth to her daughter Lily, during which she wants to protect her daughter from forces who are after her and her daughter for their powers, so she gave her to Helen, who was Nancy's doctor, so Helen could teach her good morals and never learn where she came from.
The Craft: Legacy
In The Craft Legacy, Lily is first seen moving to an new town with her mom to live with Adam and his three sons. On her first day of school Lily is humiliated by her period suddenly coming which results in her jeans being bleed through. In the bathroom she befriends Frankie, Tabby, and Lourdes who give her shorts. Lily quietly thanks them the next day at school after an crude comment from Timmy Lily telekinetically pushes him into the lockers earning them both detention. However Lily skips out on it after only serving half of it after the girls sent her a metal link. As they explain the coven to Lily confirming her to be their fourth member and invite her to join their coven, to which she agrees. As a result, they succeed in freezing time. To seek revenge on Timmy, the girls cast a spell on him. The next day, Timmy behaves sensitively, confirming the girls' success. They continue to experiment with their powers, including Levitation.
Adam discovers about the incident in school, he scolds Lily who he shuts down from fully telling him the cataclysmic. He also gets into it with Helen which forces Lily to go outside and have an brief bonding session with Abe.
Timmy hosts a party, inviting the coven, and apologizes to Lily, eventually becoming friends with the coven. When Timmy is at Lily's home for a project with Jacob, he admits to the girls that he had sex with Isaiah, Jacob's elder brother, and that he is bisexual. Later, Lily places a love spell on Timmy, using his sweatshirt, and the two kiss having grown an crush on him since he turned nicer. However the next morning, during class, the coven is told by their teacher that Timmy allegedly committed suicide the night before. Lily opens up to her friends about her kiss and love spell guilt stricken since Timmy had tell her he finally felt free ever since revealing his secret to the girls.
They sever ties with her and bind themselves from magic. However after an few weird dreams Lily suspects Adam to be dangerous and asks her mother for them to move out, but she does not agree. In hopes to find anything against Adam, she searches his office only to find her own adoption papers while Helen admits to her that Lily is actually her patient's child. After Timmy's funeral, Helen tells Lily she agrees to move out. She also admits that she knows about her powers and asks her to give her powers to her however Lily knows something is amissed with her mom realizing the jig is up , Helen shape shifts and turns out to be a disguise by Adam, who belongs part of a pagan cult and has been using his relationship with Helen to get to Lily. He knocks Lily unconscious and she awakens in a forest at night with Adam, who confesses that he murdered Timmy and threatens to kill her too. When Timmy contacts Lily's friends and tells them about his murder through a Ouija board, they arrive to save Lily by freezing time, but Adam subdues them quickly. The girls then work together and use their elemental powers to defeat Adam, burning him to death. After this Lily continues her friendship with the girls and Helen takes her to an asylum to meet her birth mother, who is revealed to be Nancy.
Personality
Lily in the beginning is a sweet and shy girl who just wants to fit in and feel accepted. As she becomes friends with the other girls and becomes the fourth witch she becomes more confident in herself but still can be shy and sensitive but has a good heart and has good intentions even if she makes mistakes it’s never her intention to hurt anyone and does her best to make it right. But sometimes she can be sarcastic and not afraid to stand up for herself like when Timmy harassed her and used her magic to slam him against the lockers telekinetically or when Adam tried to kill her and her friends and called the corners to defeat him.

Lily is a beautiful teenage girl of short height and slim figure. She has short brown hair blue eyes and pouty pink lips which appears to have pink lipstick or gloss. Her wardrobe is many different colors but sometimes blue which symbolizes her corner and element which is water which is west and wears high waist jeans flashy earrings occasional pearl earrings necklaces wears some makeup and wears her signature silver necklace. Her most distinctive features are her blue eyes which she inherited from her biological mother Nancy Downs.

Lily, being the daughter of a powerful witch Nancy, ended up inheriting magic and with that, she was able to perform various spells and rituals with little or no effort.
- Precognition : The ability to perceive and feel in advance events that will occur in the future by extrasensory means. Lily proved to be apt to this power at times, having quick visions linked to Timmy and Adam's intentions superficially.
- Telekinesis : She has the ability to control physical matter with just the strength of her mind. Lily touched on that power shortly after maintaining an involuntary mental connection to the clan that sparked her telekinesis by driving a bully Timmy away from her with violence.
- Levitation : By combining the magic of her witch friends in a ritualistic song, Lily was able to lift Frankie off the ground with ease and control.
- Telepathy : The ability to communicate with another individual without verbal or written contact. Lily revealed to have this power during her detention, where Frankie added her thoughts to her without any difficulty.
- Mental Connection : It is implied that the clan may have a subconscious connection between them. This became evident the moment her friends mentally teamed up with Lily to take down Timmy telekinetically and later during her unspoken spells.
- Magic Channeling : Before joining the coven, Lily had no latent power, but after being the fourth member, her magic ended up being revealed through channeling with the occult. His connection with nature and chanting rituals strengthened his powers that had hitherto fallen asleep to surface. By channeling her magic combined with that of her friends, Lily was able to strengthen her magical side to the point of using it for any purpose she wants.
- Electromagnetic Interference : In conjunction with her witch sisters, Lily was shown to control the electrical network in electrical appliances by causing a sudden electromagnetic failure on the television that Timmy was playing.
- Hydrokinesis : Despite not showing explicitly throughout history, Lily being the West and the carrier of the natural element water, has skills that govern and manipulate water.
- Climatic Manipulation : By controlling the cloud water patches, Lily managed to unleash a storm formation while reciting a magical ritual about Adam in the final battle.
- Witchcraft : Lily has demonstrated an affinity for making various magical talents. By being cast to be the fourth member of the clan, she was shown to exercise excellent mastery of her sorcery magic.
- Time Manipulation Spell: With all four members in a circle, Lily and her friends can control the flow of time by freezing it around them, shown prominently in the forest. Over time, Lily managed to evolve her magic to perform it alone by stopping time to prevent Timmy from entering her room just by reciting the magic words.
- Personality Spell : Lily and her coven managed to perform a powerful spell by bewitching Timmy's pillow to change her hostile personality into something more sensitive and less violent.
- Aura Projection spell: Lily was able to manipulate and control her aura and the members of her coven to manifest themselves visibly in different colors for each one. She managed to manifest this spell alone in the final battle without the help of her friends.
- Love Spell : Lily performed a spell by herself so that Timmy would fall in love with her just wearing his sweatshirt and a red candle. Her charm proved to be extremely effective as soon as a passionate Timmy appeared to her shortly afterwards.
- Containment Spell : In the final battle against Adam, Lily and her coven were able to contain Adam within a pyrokinetic circle until he burned to death.
